You probably think your writing is enough to get attention in today's world of content.

I did too—until I realized that with shrinking attention spans and visually-stimulated, multitasking audiences, the window to grab attention and convert readers into customers is smaller than ever.

Writing is a superpower.

But in a city that’s overrun with content, how do we become the heroes?

Think about it: every superhero is unique.

If you can’t say that about your writing (or your AI’s writing—eye roll), how can you expect readers to glide smoothly from one sentence to the next? You’re telling a story, and a good story should guide the reader along, sometimes leading them by the hand.

Remember the best novel you've ever read. Think about how that writing painted pictures in your mind.

Now, creating visuals with words is powerful, but there’s another way to go full Batman with your writing: turn sentences into hooks. A hook is simply a moment in your writing that grabs the reader’s curiosity. Some sentences should end with a question or create a moment that makes the reader think, "I get that!"

Imagine if I said that writing in today’s fast-paced world often gets lost in the noise—and you’re feeling that frustration every time you post a blog. That would catch your attention, right? And if I then went on to tackle that exact problem? You’d be more likely to keep reading because I’ve just added value.

Adding value is like the cape to your Superman. Even if your writing isn’t as gripping as Suzanne Collins’, it’ll still protect you. Hopefully, your reader will walk away having learned something. And even if it wasn’t the most thrilling read, they’ll leave satisfied.

So, with originality, hooks, and value in mind, you’re on your way to writing copy like the greats...

But there’s one more essential ingredient every good story needs: an end.

A blog should be a story—a piece with a beginning, middle, and end. Wrap it up, leave your readers with something memorable, and give them closure.

Since this is part of a series I’m working on—and I’m a busy guy—I’ll wrap it up here. Now, it’s your turn to get back to writing and create something truly heroic!

Ciao.
